TENEIDA
, Dakhla's easternmost settlement, is a modern affair centred on a leafy square, whose only "sight" is a
cemetery
on the outskirts with weird tombstones resembling houses, painted blue or white. In desert lore, Teneida is known for the three Zwayah tribesmen who staggered out of the desert in 1931, alerting the authorities to a tragedy that was already weeks old.
