TAYTAY
, the former capital of Palawan. The village is stretched out along a pleasant bay and has a stone fort built by the Spaniards in 1622, a sign of its important trading history. Taytay is also a jumping-off point for a number of
offshore islands
which you can reach by hiring a banca. This quaint and sleepy little coastal town makes a good stop on the journey north from Puerto Princesa towards El Nido.
