The port of
RAFNA
has
ferries
, a
catamaran
and
hydrofoils
to a wide assortment of the Cyclades, the Dodecanese and the northeast Aegean, as well as to nearby vvia. It is connected regularly by bus with Athens: a forty-minute trip (from Mavromaton) through the "gap" in Mount Pendli.
Boats aside, the appeal of the place is mainly gastronomic. Though much of the town has been spoilt by tacky seaside development, the little fishing harbour with its line of
