Halfway up the east coast,
PORTO CRISTO
is the largest town hereabouts, a busy and slightly old-fashioned place near the two sets of caves that are the area's most popular tourist attractions. These are the
Coves des Hams
(daily 10.30am-5/6pm; ?9) and the
Coves del Drac
(daily: April-Oct 10am-5pm; Nov-March 10.30am-3.30pm; ?6.65), each of which can only be visited on a guided tour.
