PLATANI
(sometimes spelled "Platanis"), on the south coast of Plio, is 10km in total from Lfkos. Taking its name from the robust plane trees in the stream valley which meets the sea here, this is the biggest resort in the south after Milna, with a regular bus service (but currently no hydrofoils) from Vlos. The small beach is OK, but always oversubscribed by a mix of local and foreign holiday-makers; from the olive grove just inland an obvious path, threading spectacularly above the coast with some patches of cobbles, leads ten minutes west to the much bigger and better strand of
Mikr
