PARANAGU
has now lost most of its former character. It was founded in 1585, and is one of Brazil's oldest cities, but only recently have measures been undertaken to preserve its colonial buildings. While both Antonina and Morretes boast less of interest than Paranagu, they have at least remained largely intact and retain instantly accessible charm.
