PALOUKA
is a bus station, with services to the contiguous capital Salamna Town (3km) and beyond, though the large selection of signed destinations can be confusing.
SALAMNA TOWN
(also known as Koulori) is home to 18,000 of the island's 23,000 population. It's a depressing place, with a couple of banks, a fish market and motorway-like traffic. Pretty much uniquely for an island town - and emphasizing the absence of tourists - there is no bike or moped rental outlet, and also no hotel (not that you'd want to stay).
