| You should avoid large air-con buses that run from Yangon to Mandalay and Taunggyi which is catered only for highly luxury tourists and wealthier Burmese.
Cheaper travel by busses will be available in towns like Yangon, Mandalay, Pathein, Bagan which are larger and have several bus parks, often located near the outdoor markets.
