Thirty kilometres south of dhessa on the road to Vria,
LEFKDHIA
has not been positively identified with any Macedonian city, but it is possible that it was Mieza, where Aristotle taught. The modern village lies just west of the main road, but for the ancient site you should turn off east at a sign reading "To the Macedonian Tombs". There are, in fact, four subterranean tombs in all - though only one has a guard, who keeps the keys to the other three.
