If you want to walk for a stretch of the xo Mni, you can pick up the
kaldermi
just below the main road out of tylo. As it continues north, the track occasionally crosses the modern road, but it is distinct at least as far as Kotrni or Rnglia. The most interesting of the villages along the way are
LANGDHA
, for its setting that bristles with towers, and
NOMITSS
, for its trio of frescoed Byzantine churches strung out along the main street. A couple more churches are to be found off the road just to the north; in that of the
Metamrfosis
, there are delightful sculpted animal capitals....
