Twenty miles east of Cenarth,
LAMPETER
(Llanbedr Pont Steffan or, popularly, Lambed) is the home of possibly the most remote university in Britain. St David's University College, now a constituent of the University of Wales, was Wales' first university college, founded in 1822 by the Bishop of St David's to aid Welsh students who couldn't afford the trip to England to receive a full education. With a healthy student population and large numbers of resident hippies, the small town is well geared up for young people and visitors.
There's not a great deal to see, and what you are able to visit is fairly low-key.
