LA LIBERTAD
(in full, Puerto La Libertad, but often reduced by bus conductors to simply "El Puerto"), once a major port and still an important fishing town, has - more by luck than judgement - re-invented itself as a tourist spot, neatly set between the beaches of the Costa del Blsamo in the west and the Costa del Sol in the east.
