KSTRO
can be reached on foot from Apollona in 35 minutes, all but the last ten on a clear path beginning at the fork in the road to Kstro, threading its way via Kto Petli hamlet. Built on a rocky outcrop with an almost sheer drop to the sea on three sides, the ancient capital of the island retains much of its medieval character.
