KNITSA
is a sleepy little town whose most memorable features are a famous bridge and a view. The
bridge
, over the As, is a giant, built around 1870 but looking far older. The
view
comes from the town's amphitheatre-like setting on the slopes of Mount Trapeztsa, above a broad flood plain where the As and Vodhomtis rivers mingle with the Sarandporos before flowing through Albania to the sea.
