Midway between Kyllni and Ptra,
KALOGRI
is an eight-kilometre strand of beach, partly naturist, bordered by a swathe of
pine forests
. A fair proportion of Ptra, including the gay community, descends here at the weekend as it's the nearest good
beach
to the city, but it's also a protected place (the beach for its sands and the forest for its birdlife) and permanent development remains low key. It is not actually a village - the nearest bona fide town is Methi - but rather a cluster of tavernas and stores. At the far north end of the beach there's the
