Extract from the Chobar Travel Guides: CHOBAR , a former outpost of Patan, stands at the top of the deceptively tall hill overlooking the Bagmati River. A paved road marked by a "Welcome to Chobar" sign leads only partway up - if you're cycling, follow the road to the northwestern side of the hill, where a dirt track doubles back and eventually climbs to near the top. On foot, take the broad, stepped path under the arch, which leads straight to the central temple.
